Chris got my vote this time round, a great composition, and one I wish I had taken my self.
Roger Gibbons almost got my vote, a quality shot, but the leaf across the butterflies face ruined it for me.
Well done all and many thanks for my two votes, who ever you are.

My thanks to those that voted for my pic, :D a pic I didn't particularly like, but as it won, what the hell do I know. :? I voted for Roger Gibbons again this time, but well done to all that entered. :P Only one more themed monthly comp to go, then the real war will start. I anticipate that the standard of photography will be extremely high, and to win a comp when the season starts will be quite an achievement. I'm looking forward to seeing the entry's from Nick B, Denise and Dave McCormick, all armed with their new DSLRs, but most of all I'm looking forward to the bragging rights in My household for the next few days, especially as Lisa ( Gwiniepig ) hated my winning pic.

Congrats to the winner. Must check shots for obscuring leaves in future!

Guy's shot reminded me that I nearly entered this one:

Congratulations to Gruditch and to all the other photographers too! It's a great picture of black-veined whites, Roger - that is such a photogenic butterfly. But I did like your King Machaon with his pages...

It was a good idea having themed competitions and I'm sure we'll all be out there this year taking interesting and unusual shots in the hope a suitable theme turns up!

Well done Gary. You're too modest as that is a cracking shot.
