UKB Purple Emperor badges

Post by Paul's badges »

Hello Everyone,

ALthough new to the forum, some of you already know me or are wearing my designs. So hello everyone!

I've finally bitten the bullet and joined the forum and what a fab forum it is too.

Over the past year I have been working with a number of groups / worthy causes that I support (not all butterfly related I must add). Well, after a brief hiccup with a couple designs, I am currently in the process of creating a new improved Purple Emperor. This time, it will be based on the UKB image without any text or caterpillar. This keeps everything very subtle and keeps the costs down.

The design is exclusive to members of UKB with the profit going to BC. The price will be £5.00 plus £1.20 p&p.

More details of size and the design posted during the week.

Thanks Paul - and before anyone asks, Paul has my blessing :) The badge will also help UKBers identify each other in the field, potentially!

Cheers,

- Pete

Count me in Paul - perhaps it might bring me some 'purple' luck which I definitely need right now!

That's a great response so far thank you.

I plan to do an initial run of 45 with a further batch of 45 to follow if demand is great enough. It will be at least four weeks from the time I give the go ahead to make them That means they will be ready mid August.

Thanks again

Paul

Hi Paul,
I would like to put my name down for a badge. I have been wearing your badges this summer and have got to meet other badge holders in the field. Not only are we promoting the butterfly cause but we are getting to know other enthusiasts. The badges always get admiring glances.

Regards
Mike

Thanks for the kind comments Mike and Susie. The badges are great conversation starters when out in the field and I know that the UKB iris will be instantly recognisable to other members making it easier to say hello.

I'm noting down everyone who is expressing interest so please feel free to put your name down for one or maybe two.

Thanks again,

Paul

Sorry All, a couple of issues this end mean that I will put this on hold for a while. Apologies but please do bear with me.
