Had four of these in the trap the other night, another adventive, one of many species over the years. Like most to late to do anything about it, we will just have to manage it. Beautiful moth though with a lovely mauve sheen.

As usual a great finale to a very unusual butterfly year, will catch up soon and hopefully get out over the coming weeks for some larvae/Ovum etc.

Thanks for Comments Goldie and Wurzel, No butterflies today but put the moth trap out last night and had a bumper haul, 4 species of hawk moth including new for garden The Small Elephant Hawk along with a Pine Hawk, Poplar Hawk and a new garden record quantity of Elephant Hawk moths 24 up from 17 on...
