Just follow the tramway from the Victoria station up the first steep section, to where you find a turning to the left along what I think is called the Happy Valley, you shaould find plenty of ssb blue there, also anywhere alongside the artificial ski slope. I saw my first BH a female at Preston Down near Paignton in Devon on 24th August last year.

Male Brimstone at Jetty Marsh Newton Abbott and a male Orange Tip near Ashburton.

Only one pierid so farm a Small White, I have seen a Speckled Wood, hope to go to Jetty Marsh at Newton Abbott tomorrow so in with a chance for Orange Tips

3 Peacocks alongside the railway at Goodrington near Paignton this afternoon and another one along the Dartmouth Road near the turning for Broadsands.

The Gimp is worth a look and it is free and a viable alternative to photoshop, I use Linux Mint rather than Windows but there is a windows version available. I back everything up in triplicate on external drives, I have been digital since 1998, the only issue these days of course is that rather than...

It might be worth looking at the Great Orme colonies in North Wales as they emerge a couple of weeks earlier than normal and use B F Trefoil.
