Re: Small Skipper - Favourite Photo of 2023
I was once again at Seasalter when I saw the Small Skipper, I'd been there quite a lot looking for the Large Skipper and was surprised when I found the SK
and hadn't seen the large at all, it was the 5th July , I never saw the LK at all last year which I thought rather strange Goldie![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: Small Tortoiseshell - Favourite Photo of 2023
I saw the Small Tortoiseshell on the 15th of June at Herne Bay, I decided to take a walk by the sea so I took the path where I knew some plants were still not suffering too much from the hot Sun, I also went out about 4pm, I've learnt from experience that if it's too hot the Butterflies are more abu...

Re: Goldie M
I was just looking back over some of the shots I'd taken in my previous garden of the larger birds that used to visit every year. I lived near two Nature reserves and was able to visit them, which I miss doing here, having said that the Butterflies here have made up for that :D I'm always surprised ...

Re: Silver-spotted Skipper - Favourite Photo of 2023
I saw the Silver Spotted Kipper at Temple Ewell on the 10th of August, I was lucky because a group of people arrived later and didn't see any, I was stood on the slope when I saw the Skipper fly onto the flower in the photo and I managed just a couple of quick shots from a distance

I took my shots in the Back garden on the 11th of June, the Red Admiral was in the garden from June to September and later, they were certainly plentiful last year, the weather seemed to suit them , not too hot.
