I hesitate if the first butterfly is worn Short-tailed Blue or Eastern Short-tailed Blue... Short-tailed Blue has 1-3 distinct orange spots near the spur. Eastern and Provençal Short-tailed Blues may have one tiny lacklustre yellow spot near the spur (but the female on this picture has even two ones).

Timing is everything, and first week in July hits most species.... but probably not Large Tort and Camberwell Beauty. Today I have found and taken to photos an Agile Frog - Rana dalmatina in our garden: photo1 photo2 photo3 photo4 photo5 I have removed the photo with the hind leg flexing because an expert of Biolib has notified me that this determination test is unrecommended (needless and dangerous for the animal)...

Two Frits for ID

On August 14th I have snapped two fritillaries but only upersides of ones. I Preliminary gues that they are:

- High Brown Fritillary female
and
- Dark Green Fritillary male.

Is there some posibility to determine the butterflies from these photos, please?

I think it is plum, Prunus sp. is maybe the most attractive foodplant for Scarce Swallowtails. But on the picture below is probably a female laying eggs to the Dog Rose leaves (taken on July 11th 2008):
