Yep that day is a day to remember I LOVED IT! :D

My brother Rory is now hooked too on butterflies since he saw the BH but my sister well she prefers the shopping in Dorchester. :lol: Oh! haven't I told you all that I'm a Triplet its true!!! :D

Today at Alners Gorse was a complete and utter............. Of to Alners Gorse today with my dad and brother(Rory)to find the brown hairstreak but the weather doesn't look great. :(

Went to Powerstock common today in cloudy weather but plenty of butterflies where out that include: Numerous meadow browns, ringlets, gatekeepers(that include a mating pair) I was trying to find some purple hairstreaks but no success :( BUT at least 12+ silver-washed fritillary and 5 marbled whites,...

Oh yeh because when I saw the SWF at the Lyme Regis Undercliff they constantly flew near me and my mum because of the colour of my T-shirt!

Great day today on the Buddlea lots of activity that include Commas, Peacocks(very fresh), Whites, Red admiral, Gatekeepers. Saw a courtship and mating of a Comma and they choose to mate in a tree with their wings tightly shut I think for camouflage. Do they normaly mate in trees? Also at the gravey...

I saw a Meadow Brown trying to lay eggs on our garden lawn today! :) I also saw lots of whites and gatekeepers in the graveyard.

Sudden Oak Death

I've recently seen an article on BBC Spotlight news about a disease killing trees in Devon and Cornwall they say it is carried by the wind in spores and they are chopping down trees because of it. :( I'm worried about the Purple hairstreaks.
