Re: Sharpening
Although i have in the past used Unsharp mask and other sharpening tools such as Extensis intelihance pro, i no longer use them, instead i use the High pass filter in Photoshop for all my sharpening because it's about the best method i've come accross. For those that don't know about the High pass f...

Hi folks,
I found this handsom chap hidden amongst the reeds and moved him to this spot for the photo......and returned him to the reeds afterwards It was about 2 1/2 to 3 inches long at full stretch and beautifuly marked i think.
Any idea what it might be?
Thanks in advance!
Vic.

Many thanks Felix
I did have a look on the home page to ID it but couldn't find any photos of aberrations under Small blue. You're welcome to use this shot there if it helps!

Confirmation on a Small blue ID please.
I took this at Pembrey in South Wales and i think it's a Small blue but i noticed that it seems to lack the usual line of spots on the underside of the wings although there is a very faint line of spots near the wing edge. Is this an aberration or is it something else?

"JUST FOR LAUGHS"
LAUGHTER...... THE BEST MEDICINE I thought it might be a good idea to create a new thread where anyone can post links for amusing videos or written jokes about photography or anything else for that matter. I put this youtube link in the "Wrong lense" thread some time back, but that thread ...

Re: Tripod head
Hi Bill, and all!! :D I've been using a Manfrotto 055 nature with short centre post and a 141RCNAT tilt and pan head with QR plate for the past 8 years and i've found that it's up to the job for eveything i need a tripod for. This model of tripod also comes with leg clamps which means it can be used...

[quote="Zonda"]Hya Chris, and Dave. In my experience, butterflies and most other things that you may want to photograph pick up tints and colours from adjacent plants, and trees, and the sky. Hi Chris Just to add to what Zonda has said, butterflies and indeed most things out-doors are ofte...

Re: To all concerned
Well......as a new member of the UKB site i have to say that i'm surprised and somewhat disappointed by this kind of behaviour from adults! We all write comments that may or may not be taken in the right spirit and recieve comments that we may or may not agree with. But as adults we can also CHOOSE ...

Re: "Wrong" lenses
Hi Pete I should mention that i got the resolution wrong, :( it should have been 1600 pixels on the longest side, not 1600 x 1600 :D I reckon this sizing works pretty well so i would go for 1600 pixels max on the longest side of the frame and allow a file size up to 3mb which should pretty much cove...

Re: "Wrong" lenses
That's ok Misha :) I should perhaps have said that Perfectly captured is a picture sharing site with 443 members to date. I use this site because the upload file resolution can be up to 1600 x 1600 pixels which gives the viewer a chance to check for sharpness on images, and also because the admin st...
