I have an admission to make...I made a fopar on the ID when I said #2 was a Scarce Swallowtail. It is, in fact, a Spanish Swallowtail, Iphiclides feamelii.

I think the flower is in focus, and the butterfly is slightly back from that. Hadyou leaned forward half an inch when the shutter went off, or increased the DoF it would have been a belter. HTH.

Is it possible? In a 2 hour walk I only saw 2 Meadow Browns sticking like glue to the shade, 3 Geranium Bronzes and 2 Painted Ladys.
