I think that, not having clubbed antenna it's a moth. The nearest I can find in my book is Speckled Yellow but I'm only 50% on that.

Yep, and mine is exactly the same as yous except I use the camera in full Manual mode and manual focus toosidwemn wrote:Everyone has there own methods. It's a case of finding what works for you.

What latin name are giving this as I can see no mention of Violet Fritillary in my books.
Closest I can find ( I've never seen one ) is Weaver's Fritillary - Clossiana dia.

There are more Dingy Skippers down there than you can imagine...I must have seen at least 100! Lots of Small Heath too, I'd estimate 30-40.
