Phil and I have found that Green Hairstreaks are a morning butterfly. Best to look around 10 am when they are likely to be flying. Good luck

We were there on the 11th June, on the way back from Scotland, very wet!! There was sun on the horizon so we stuck it out. I think the weather window was about half an hour.

Strumpshaw Fen, we found this one newly emerged and struggling to get out of the grass in the high winds. Philib helped it on it's way

Green Hairstreaks for me. It was the first more localised butterfly we found and I always look forward to seeing them, Good for distracting Swallowtail photographers in 'the garden' too, I wasn't getting a look in until I mentioned it

I just have to get Large Blue and Lulworth Skipper next year, then I have the complete set
