Barn Owl captures the day well.The wildfowl are Widgeon,the waders are Knot( larger)Sanderling and the geese are Greylag who have pink feet as well as the Pink foooted just to confuse people

Cant beat a Great Tit! (That sounded ok in my head :D ). Nice pics Eccles,I went to take some pics of the Nuthatches etc On the C Chase yesterday, they put out feed on and around certain fallen trees in an ancient oak woodland I take some myself to bring them down to where I want them anyway a Nutha...

Hi all, Yes it did eat it Eccles after it had been chased by other numerous other wildfowl,see your point with the pic cropping and it was a bad crop not the speed of the Grebe,Ive had a quick go again although in the other one Ive posted it was like a parting of the Red Sea it was moving that fast....

Great pics Eccles love the Starling, some birders tend to go for the rarer birds and can miss whats under their nose.

Nice pictures Pauline, Although they are very easy to see as they let you approach to within feet they are also not that easy to photograph, on a less than sunny day they look just grey or they tend to stay just above skyline blotting their colours completely, so well done. Came across this Treecreeper he decided to do a freeze and you cant see me trick (one they do quite often) so I was taking pics as I approached him.Then a walker decided to walk between me and it to see what i was photographing giving it the chance to decide to go:x .

Hi all, seems the birders have found that Hawfinch as there were 40+ there today with some big glass on display :mrgreen: . The Hawfinch is quite happy to come down to the feeders within 20ft away but it was to crowded for me so a quick pic and I went to seek out a quieter area.Very cold -5 this mor...

Great to see lots of Siskins in the garden Shirley do you usually get them in the winter or is it just a good one?

Yes Lisa I have the same problem with Little Grebes this one just couldnt be bothered.This Moorhen was the best he had improved on the usual stick your bill out of the water and they will go away and added a bit of army camouflage.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
