Re: Greenwings Tour Availability

Thanks for the post about tours Pete. I just wanted to add that someone has had to cancel their place on our north Greece holiday (6-13 June) due to a sudden health issue. This tour normally fills, so it is a good chance for somebody interested to join, albeit at short notice! That said, I'm sure we...

Re: Greenwings: Italian Alps 16-23 June 2022

Enjoyed this summary David. And am particularly envious of the alexanor experience you all had - a species I have yet to see, let alone in cop!

Best wishes,
Matt

Re: French Alps 25 June to 8 July 2016

Great selection of photos so far David! I would personally like to see Alpine Blue from the available blues in the area. Maybe next year! Interesting to note your listing of Green-underside as desirable, I probably take it for granted as I see them in their hundreds each spring in Greece. They do ma...

Had to be! And you were in heaven rather than helle ;)

A fitting number 1 and I am pleased you achieved your goal on this trip to see them.

I must admit to being envious though as it is high on my butterfly bucket list too. Maybe next year!

Re: French Pyrenees 24 May - 2 June 2016

This has been a great read David and I sense you are keeping the tension going by making us wait for the number 1 spot - hopefully my hunch on what it is will be right! From the photos my favourites so far are the Chequered and Short-tailed Blue, which are both stunning individuals in nice poses. Matt

Re: French Pyrenees 24 May - 2 June 2016

Enjoying it so far David, especially the top ten lifers, which is far more interesting to read and wait for who is no.1 than the musical variation!

Thanks

Great report David, thanks for sharing ! I know your feelings about the clouded apollo, it can be very frustrating.... Matt, It would be interesting to know what you have seen in Estonia as I am thinking of going there next year. Sylvie Hi Sylvie, We will have a report out in the near future and I'...

Re: French Alps - 27 June to 8 July 2015

An excellent and inspiring account of the tour David! I am very pleased that you got to see the Poplar Admiral; shame it didn't perform better for photos but you can't have everything and it should keep you hungry for more next year! :D Plenty more superb shots from you anyway and I particularly lik...

Thanks William, glad you liked it :)

Re: Summer 2012 Competition

Thanks to the judges, several good shots in there so am pleased to have been chosen :)

The 3 that stand out to me are Julian's Chalkhill Blue, Fishiees Marbled White and the Gatekeeper by PhiliB.

Haven't been on the site for a while, popped in yesterday and noticed I'd won the July comp! Thanks to everyone who voted and well done to the others on the podium. I don't think I voted so hold my hands up to that! As I am not visiting the site every day I am afraid I simply forgot all about the co...

Re: Swallowtails in Norfolk - 5th & 6th June

Thanks for the message Goldie & apologies for the delay in responding, only just came online after a hectic past week.
