The usual suspects on my walk today. I wish I could go further afield and get the Grizzles and Green 'streaks but alas not to be. :(

Re: April 2020

A few from this lunchtimes 'permitted' walk. Saw my first Red Admiral of the year! Still very breezy here making photo opportunities a bit difficult! BTW Small Tortoiseshell quite numerous here in West Wiltshire. IMG_7152 (2).JPG IMG_7149.JPG IMG_7121 (2).JPG IMG_7195 (2).JPG IMG_7212 (2).JPG

Unfortunately not. I guess that would have made it too easy :)

Not sure if it helps but this Small White was taken at the same time, at the same place so in the same light conditions.

Small White abberation?

I Photographed this Small White in the garden today.

It doesn't seem to have any postdiscal spots.

I can't identify it on the aberrations pages. Any ideas please?

Nice finds, Stevie. Mud-puddling and mating are both surefire ways of bringing normally skittish species to rest!
Thank you David. The mating Orange-tips were at it forever! Finally gave up waiting and left them to it.
Still trying to get a half decent open winged shot of a female!!
