RE a previous post about getting out early. I got to one of may fav locations at 6.20am I soon started spotting common blues in the grass. On my patch I see hundreds of common blues, but hardly ever see the females. Is this common in other areas too? Could this be a female Common blue? When I looked at the photo I did see the wing markings showing through.

But also saw the black antenna tips and the underside of the wing seemed to be light in colour.

Anyway better luck next time.
