hello, I just popped in to see if I could find any info about loss rates for caterpillars pupating and saw this thread. so thought I would add my own observations on the parasitic fly issue. all garden collected commas approx 10 survived to emerge healthy butterflies, the same with a bundle of 20 1s...

Hi all, new to the forum, just signed up (thanks Pete) I'm trying to ID some tiny caterpillars, I'm hoping they're Red admirals but they don't really match any pictures and I don't want to lovingly rear what ends up to be a fly!
