Re: Can someone recommend an idiot proof camera
No one has mentioned the Panasonic DMC-FZ18 with LUMIX lens, the 18 is the zoom, you can buy a close-up lens, wide lenes and additional zoom lenes. The camera cost about £200.

Re: Help with identifying a plant (better than buddleia in my ga
I am a gardener by trade and I just don't have a clue what it is but if you take a leaf and a flower to the local garden centre then they should know what it is. Then you can come back and all the gardeners can go out and buy one. I hope you enjoy this web site, I'm sure you will. Regards Shirley

I like your Comma photo very much, and it doesn't matter what camera you have as long as your happy with your own photo's. My Kodak, I'm sure some people think its a hopeless camera but I like it and I know other folks on this web site have compact camera's. Keep up with your photo's, very nice that...

Re: Which Blue?
I've been looking at the Adonis Blue and it seems so similar to the Common Blue although much brighter, I don't suppose my photo is the Adonis, every time I take a photo of a blue I always refer to it as a Common Blue. I've looked at the Species on the web site and the Adonis is very bright blue. Pi...
Re: Whites
White butterflies are everywhere in my garden in North Wales, the little blighters are also attacking my cabbages in my polytunnel, they are pairing up every few minutes!!, they love the buddlia, even when its cool they are about. I suppose my garden is sheltered when out of it, the wind is cold so ...

Re: Buddleia
With the Ragwort all gone nearly I could only come up with this moth no idea what it is. But to give the poor Buddleia section a rest from the dear old Ragwort I'll open a new section for what I found along a puplic footpath later this afternoon.

Re: Buddleia
Talk about Skippers, I have this field and I was surprised to see the dreaded Ragwort flower in the middle of the field. So I had to go with very thick gloves and black bin liners to get the whole plants to burn them. To my surprise the flowers were covered in Small Skippers. So, I cut the stems to ...
