Re: April 2009 Lepidoptera Sightings

Lovely photos coming in, still very windy here but in pockets of sunshine to-day, this is what I saw. Red Admiral, Holly blue and I not 100% sure but I think a Small White.

Any idea on this plant?

To-day I saw this flower in a grassy bank and at first it looked like a Bluebell but I'm sure its not, and I don't think its a Ramson either in an old book its says a Summer Snowflake, it has straight leaves a bit like a Bluebell.

the photos a bit blurred, it was very windy as per usual.

Ring Flash for a Sony DSLR Camera

Has anyone used a Ring Flash for taking macro photos, there seems to be one for most cameras except Sony.

Re: ID on this flower please

It is right Dave, last night I got my flower books out and there it was, I've never seen it before. It is in a wood, a very shady area and damp. To-day the weather is cloudy. :( typical.

Gary, how do you get your photos into these frames, I think you have given them a nice finishing touch. They are all very nice, my favourite is the Orange Tip.

Re: Not Lepidoptera (Birds) - 3

Roger, where are the waterfall photos, I liked to see those please. I like the your photos, not easy to get a Dipper, there are Ospreys nesting in Porthmadoc but even though they have a viewing place, its too far for photos I think.

What beautiful photos of the OT Neil, just something a bit different, its such a small but very pretty butterfly, pity it only come out once in the season.
