The White-letter Hairstreak catty photo previously may well have matured into imagohood!! Seen today, high up, so hence only record shot, but I'm really pleased to see them at home, I just hope there are more lurking in the tree-tops. Another local site I visited today up here in northernmost North ...

Re: Wildflower patch

It's been 2 years since I updated this thread, and things have moved on, well, a bit! I now have a second section in progress, with Yellow Rattle firmly established, and various plug-plantings from my own seedlings beginning to take hold... This is the original patch, now providing much of my seed, ...

Referring to Guy's diary. here are my best efforts from the day... a first ever view of the elegant Hungarian Glider, so intent on flying elegantly it virtually never stopped. I don't have Guy's zoom, which would have helped a lot.... but here's are those I managed..... 170617 N. rivularis. . __0218...

Re: Colias... very worn

Oops  ..... it was taken on at Samoens, altitude of the site was 1667m, should have said!!

I thought it strange, and agree it ought to be alfacariensis presumably the oddity is due to it's worn out-ness.
