Found my first ever Painted Lady Larva at Bentley Wood today!

Also had a very worn Holly Blue.

The Grizzleds and Dingys are around, but not easily found at Bentley - alot of the sites, in our area have good numbers of them, including Broughton where we did our Practical session.

Went out for Dukes today, hard to say exact amount, but must have been in double figures. This one landed on a Cow Slip, then it was a fight to get the best angle, Gary one side, Roger the other and me in the front. I was really pleased to find this curled up fella, i've never come across Scarlet Tiger Moths at Broughton Downs before.

The way to avoid the crowds is either, go extremley early in the morning or go on Christmas day like we did!
I did still manage to get an idiot posing behind the waterfall though!
