Small Tortoishell

Another of my efforts.

Small tortoiseshell enjoying the vibrant yellow flowers of the ligularia dendata 'Desdemona'.

I think the yellow of the flower makes this butterfly stand out. Or perhaps that's just a girl thing!

Common blue or brown argus

I always thought i had a female common blue since it was mixing it with the male commons, but on second look i now think it's a brown argus.
I know it's been said before about these two, but just want to be certain.

Any one wanting to see Chalk-Hill Blues in abundance go to Stockbridge Downs, I went today and was having to be carefull were i was treading.

Not the best of pics attached, but I thought you might like to see it!!!

Hi,

I have been to Broughton recently and although very good I didn't see any Dark Green Fritillarys. (Perhaps you may get lucky)
I did how ever see one on Stockbridge Downs.
It's only 3 miles from Broughton.
