Re: Bugboys mission
Good shots of the Eagles Paul ! Something that i always seem to be " You should have been here 5 minutes ago " scenario ! But for me the ( very !) dark morph Buzzard steals the show............lovely bird .Looking carefully at your Eagle shots you can just make out a ring on one of them. G...

Re: Vagrant - Favourite Photo of 2023
The first picture is interesting . I do wonder if BVW has been noted as being a migrant to the UK before as i,ve already mentioned i thought that it was known to be a Sedentary species and not wandering too far from its "home turf" It will be interesting indeed to see what occurs at Hutchi...

Re: Vagrant - Favourite Photo of 2023

Personally i have...

Re: White Admiral - Favourite Photo of 2023
I rarely try for White Ads away from Orlestone forest (mid-Kent ) but do stumble across them in various other woods that i visit. The first shot was only the second that i,ve seen at Hothfield Common ,and a good mile from my last sighting there. P1200591.JPG In Orlestone i found a fresh individual c...

Re: White-letter Hairstreak - Favourite Photo of 2023
This shot of a White-Letter was taken with my camera at full stretch (and then cropped !) along the Royal Military canal on Romney Marsh on one of the last (of 2) remaining "Huntingdon "Elms that used to grace the banks along the entire length of the canal ,huge felled tree stumps and tree...

Re: Bugboys mission
Excellent work with the Jack Snipe Bugboy ! seen a few but they move off so quickly when flushed (ie; when you nearly step on them !) incredible that you managed a flight shot ! Of interest on a local birders blog (1st week January ) the excellent "PLODDINGBIRDER " he mentions finding hidi...
