Great pictures for such a tricky subject!

Tried to identify this via the http://butterfly-conservation.org/51/4/ ... -moth.html and I think it might be Shaded Broad Bar. Any ideas?

Got a rather blurred photograph but hopefully someone can help me identify this one. It was found at Sutton Bank near York.

Spotted this in my garden. 2nd one I haven't seen before this year.

Oh that is good. I was hoping it might be something like that but I wasn't sure if caterpillars shed their skin.

I'd also noticed the other caterpillars I'd seen a few days earlier had appeared to have shrivelled up. Not sure what happened there.

Can anyone tell me what type of caterpillar this is? Photographed on nettles in West Yorkshire recently.
