Or gardens where the owner is happy to accept visitors (perhaps for a small donation to a conservation charity of his/her choice)... They're sufficiently different from our native subspecies that...

I could never condone collecting Wild Butterflies...particularly a Schedule 5 species... The Somerset Introduced population is mentioned in the Conservation Action Plan for Glanville Fritillary so presumably is legally included in that...not just morally... Yikes! I'm deeply concerned lots of species seem to be very early this year... Making my quest for all 59 extremely difficult! Visited the IOW today (May 21st) for Glanville's Day was mainly overcast with little Sunshine, though warm and humid. None seen at Compton Bay (Painted Lady, Wall, Common Blue present - also good numbers of Silver Y moths...so may be worth checking the area for immigrants - Clouded Yellow etc) Walke...
