We are going to Mull 16 -- 23 May. Is this going to be too soon for the MF. We got them at Grass Point last year round about 17th June. Also what few species will be out up there then. I assume Green Hairstreak.

Next week I'm going on a photography club trip to Mull. I believe the wildlife is amazing. Does anyone know of site locations for the Marsh Fritillary . It would be good to narrow the locations down. Regards.

Nigel I visited the wood on 5th June when staying at Holme Lacy ( 3miles away ), parked in the main car park an then crossed the road. No problem with WW 's -- got them 300 metres in ( main track and clearings). A couple of shots attached. As a bonus I also got a recently emerged Emperor Dragonfly. ...

Just a tip. They are generally easy to find on the sheltered path edges that skirts the foot of the Great Orme leading from West Bay to Haulfre Gardens. I think its called Lovers Path !!

Russ Greetings from a very wet Lancashire. Good to see you made it down safely and have got ' amongst them '. Good record shots. Went to Gaudalest ( and Valencia ) a few years ago on a photographic holiday, so I recognise the reservoir but I only saw it from the town. I'll watch your progress.
