Re: Spring 2015 Competition

Re: Spring 2015 Competition
This is an "interesting" thread. Not sure if i really want to "get involved" though  I like a bit of photography myself, i own (and use) both a Bridge Camera and a Nikon DSLR...so i ought to have a valid opinion on the merits of both types of cameras?! Whilst equipme...
Re: June 2015
Really "hard going" today (14/6/15) what with the poor weather conditions here in my part of Kent. We struggled to sight much in the way of Butterflies at all, I would say 5 Small Blues, 1 (fresh looking) female Common Blue, 2 (worn) male Common Blues................and a lone (fresh) Marb...
Re: June 2015
Its been over 3 years since i sighted a Heath Fritillary, so i made the effort this last Sunday (7/6/15) to visit a well known site in Kent. Very good numbers seen on the day too, i even managed to capture 3 Heaths in the same shot/photo. Location - East Blean Woods, Kent. Cheers Paul. 7th-June-2015...

Re: June 2015
Just spent 4 days on the Isle Of White...and although the holiday break was family orientated (and entirely my wife's idea/booking)...I did mention to her that a certain rare "butterfly colony" could be found on the Island  so i should take a camera along...just in case  Despit...
Re: May 2015
Such a shame that, TM. A perfect specimen on that last image would have been stunning. Never seen Adonis Blues on Ox-Eye Daisies before. A lovely contrast. Sorry for the late reply on this David(just got back from the Isle Of White!)...and yes, after that Adonis Blue had spent some time feeding on ...

I just had to return to Denge Wood/Bonsai Bank in Kent, for my 2nd session with the "Duke" on Saturday 16/5/15. With more time on my hand, and another camera, I had a really great day. Highlights were obviously finding a mating pair of the Duke and his Duchess too :) Other species on the w...
