awesome day out at arnside and warton.

hundreds upon hundreds of scotch argus out at the knott, even in drizzly weather, was decent.

a few nice brimstones and walls at warton.

all in all a 23 species day! :)

a mate of mine found the site the day before, so i went back with him the next day to try and see them for myself and wasn't disappointed, plus extra pleasing to find this was a new site for them :)

an awesome day in a local undisclosed spot in preston today watching a beautiful wlh in the closest quarters i could have quite possibly expected to, really was a hairstreak experience i won't be forgetting for a while!

Lovely weather today at Gait Barrows NR... plenty of High brown and Dark green out and about, some stopping for pictures :) also billions (slight exaggeration although there was loads!) of browns, ringlets, skippers and whites. Plus many damsels and dragonflies..

Great sight today in my front garden. while on the comp, lookin out the window at the budlia, i could see (all at once) 14 p ladies, 5 red admiral, 4 pcock, 6 whites, 3 small ttshell n a comma. not too bad eh!
