Hi Neil,
As always your pictures are super. I especially love the female common blue. Not see one in Shropshire yet (less anybody knows where they are?)

Re: Goldie M

Hi Goldie, I love your pictures, and thank you for your kind comments about mine. I wish I had more time to get out and take more pictures. I was happy that at £70 if it was a mistake, it was not too big and Jessops did let you take it back also withing 30 days if you did not like it. I have looked ...

It has the added advantage of Zoom and the Macro setting to. I paid about £70 for it in the sale and it has often been on sale. here are 2 pictures...

Re: Bridge Cameras?

Gruditch, Johnr, Mark, Mike, Dave, Bill, Badgerbob, Neil. Many thanks for your useful comments. It is the view finder that I am concerned about, but I am going to get one, and see how it goes. I certainly do not want to stop using my DSLR, but I simply cannot take it with me everyday and I have miss...

Re: N.Wales and Shropshire

A couple of mintues away from Prees Heath is Brown Moss Nature reserve and I have photographed Orange tips, Peacocks, Small Coppers, various whites. I called in at Prees Heath 2 weekends ago and photographed two small coppers as small as my thumb nail, but in beautiful condition. As well as the SSB ...

Re: Bridge Cameras?

Mainly Butterflies when it is not practical to take the DSLR with me, or birds in trees, and other insects too. So I want the Zoom to get closer and the Macro for those who sit and pose. I am sorry if I am not more technical.

Thanks Debbie

Bridge Cameras?

I applogise for raising this subject again - I love my DSLR, and I am learning that each type of camera comes into its own at different times. I use a canon 500d for my DSLR. I now need some clarificaation bringing to the Bridge cameras. I do not want a compact? What Bridge camera do you use and why...

Re: April Sightings

We had 14 degrees in Shropshire yesterday. After a hard mornings work in the garden, a beautifully fresh butterfly landed in the garden, which we think is a comma due to the markings, but by the time hubby got the camera, off it had flown. We went out a little later and saw a male brimstone with the...

These were taken at Prees Heath, and again a first time I have seen SSB's. The mating pair were tucked away on a very dull and windy day.

When will Swallowtails be on the wing? Can anybody please tell me of any booklets, leaflets or books that would help a first time butterflier to Norfolk?
