Hi Chris and David,
Thanks for the comments. Appreciated as always.

All the best, Nick.

Hi Buggy,
you are obviously using flash in these photos, and i must say, to great affect. Especially the Large Skipper. Nice to see something different.

Re: Favorite Photo of 2014
It has to be this photo of mating Orange-tips, because it was the first time i had realised that this species sometimes mated overnight. They were joined for at least fourteen hours, Which must be a world record for this species.

These two are mine. For the simple reason, on how difficult they where to obtain, the time and energy put into getting such photos was enormous. So made the results even more pleasing.

An insight into the life of Chiddingfold Wood's Wood White.. Final part... The female rejection signal The female Wood White is noted for not having a reject signal to ward off any advances from amorous males, hence all the failed courtships but, this is not always the case. Re: White Admiral larvae
Hi Tony, Guy is obviously right about the White Admiral still being in hibernation, whether its in Switzerland or England. And when the larva do make an appearance as a 2nd instar larva, it will depend on the amount of light/sunshine that gets through the canopy, simply for the warmth. So the darker...

Hi David, Mike and Wurzel, thank you again, for your kind comments. Appreciated as always. Wurzel, to answer your question.
