Orange-tip in the middle of pupating.The finished item, found in the garden on some Blackthorn.This one is such a lovely colour, but has been attacked by a parasite.

I didn't manage to photograph one this year to busy doing other things, but heres one i took in July 2011.

This photo was taken in Portugal on the 23rd Oct.

This female Silver-washed Fritillary was photographed in my front garden. Thats the forth one i have seen in my garden.

Freshly laid Orange-tip ovum.Orange-tip ovum after four days. And notice the excessive amount of glue used to attach this ovum to the stem.Same ovum after one week, just about to hatch.

On the coldest day of the winter down here in Surrey, one Peacock seen in a local field, whilst walking my dog. Seen at 12.48pm. The earliest i have seen this species.
