IMG_4325.JPG Seems to me that it's a matter of distraction levels with backgrounds... our occipital lobes naturally process ...

Sounds good... if you can re-size your photos to 800 pixels on photoshop or equivalent, then they should download nicely? - would like to see the Pashas... & that is a Common Blue, and I'm still waiting (5y now) for an open wing LTB.. well done!

They appear to be males... I don't think the scotica form is as obvious in males as it is in females, so being in Scotland I would say they were indeed scotica. Ironically the first ever DGF I saw was on the hills above Kyle of Lochalsh, and it was a female as scotica as a butterfly piping in the ha...

excellent, thanks. - that second napaea you posted was an absolute beauty wasn't she. :D

although the subject of my first photo looks worn, she was in fact well covered in very pale scales, ? to the point of aberration :?

Thanks Paul... that is helpful, I'm sure we were there just days apart, supports my premise so far and hope Guy casts his eye over them at some stage.... I want to label them in my forthcoming Photobox book :D - preferably correctly, though some know that is not my norm!!- especially where it comes ...
