Re: Green Caterpillar ID, Please

Well, I've looked all over the bush and right now he's alone so I'll let him stay.....but if he starts inviting the whole family, he'll be turfed off and moved !!

Cheers, Lynda~

Re: Green Caterpillar ID, Please

Thankyou Michael. I just put it up on Twitter and someone suggested one of those-I'd not heard of them. Here's a picture she showed me on a link of a large rose sawfly....

Cheers, Lynda~

Green Caterpillar ID, Please

Afternoon all, this wee fella' is munching away on my little rosebush in the garden right now and I've trawled your ID files for a few months backwards but can't see any similar. Can you help, please ?

Cheers, Lynda~

Re: Two Garden Critters !!

I may have answered my own question and wasted your time. On doing more research online I came across ladybird larvae of all things and they look similar to my little critters !! So it may be puzzle solved !!

Re: identify please.

Is this what my one is as well, please ? I got this in June 2005 in Hampshire but he looks quite similar and I've often wondered what he was !!

Two Garden Critters !!

Hi there,
I have two of these tiny little things I photographed this afternoon in Hampshire. They're quite different but both types were sharing a thistle !! They were no larger than a maggot really...I was so pleased I managed to catch such great detail of them both.
Thanks everso much.
