If you use a DSLR you might consider a lens with image stabbilization. It enables you to hand hold exposures as short as 1/100 sec and you dont have to carry a tripod

Brimstone and friend

I was sneaking up on a brimstone this morning and a fly joined in. Neither seemed bothered by the other and they remained like this for several minutes. Ive not seen this before, Is it common?
